Tombow Pencil Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Tokyo; President: Junichi Fukushima) on October 29 will launch a new line of school stationery under its “ippo!” brand—designed to support children as they begin their learning journey. The new products, which include a glue stick, liquid glue, and pencil caps, feature designs tailored for ease of use by children. Together with the “writing pencil” (new designs released in late July) and the “break-resistant eraser,” these items are intended to support children throughout their school life.

“ippo! ‘See-Where-You-Glue’ Disappearing-Color Glue Stick” (Product Name)
Retail price: 154 JPY (140 JPY excluding tax) – Relaunched on October 29, 2026

This product is an adaptation of the “Kie-iro Pit S” (Disappearing-Color Pit S) glue stick, specifically designed for school use. It is ideal for tasks such as gluing handouts into notebooks.

– The glue is blue, allowing you to see exactly where it has been applied. This helps prevent applying too much or missing spots. The blue color disappears once it dries. It offers fast, strong adhesion, suitable for everything from notebook paper and handouts to thicker cardstock.

– The cap has been designed to be easy to open and resistant to rolling away. A small, ~6mm protrusion has been added to one side of the cylindrical cap (see photo on the right). Children with less hand strength can easily open the cap by placing a finger against this protrusion and pulling. This feature also prevents the cap from rolling off the desk. We call this a “teardrop-shaped” cap.
– The inner casing features a yellow “reminder color” to help prevent users from forgetting to put the cap back on. If the yellow band is not visible, the cap is properly closed. Net content: 10g

“ippo! Liquid Glue with Selectable Application Width” (Product Name)
Retail price: 220 JPY (200 JPY excluding tax) | Available from October 29, 2026

A dual-tip liquid glue featuring both “wide” and “narrow” applicators.

Use the “wide” tip for covering larger areas—ideal for arts and crafts projects—and the “narrow” tip for tasks like attaching small pieces of paper or detailed craft work, where a precise, line-like application is needed. The glue is designed to be compact and lightweight, making it easy for small hands to use and convenient to store in a school supply box.
The wide tip has an application area of approximately 6 mm × 12 mm, allowing for broad coverage, while the narrow tip has a diameter of about 2 mm, enabling precise, fine-line application.
The wide tip features a soft silicone head that conforms to the paper—much like a brush—ensuring an even application of glue. Even if glue dries on the tip, it can be easily removed.
Capacity: 25 ml | Weight: 41 g | Dimensions: 33 × 26 × 106 mm

New Colors for “ippo! Connectable Caps” (product name)
Retail price: 165 JPY (150 JPY excluding tax) – Pack of 4 (3 designs) – Available from October 29, 2026.

As children advance to the next grade, many switch from traditional box-style pencil cases to soft pen pouches, leading to an increased need for pencil caps to protect the tips.

“ippo! Connectable Caps” are square-shaped, measuring 10 mm x 10 mm with a length of 48 mm. The opening for the pencil is also square, making them compatible with hexagonal and round-barreled pencils—as well as most other standard types—to protect the tips and prevent round pencils from rolling away. They can also be attached to the end of a shortened pencil to extend its usable life.
Each cap features a small (approx. 2 mm) protrusion at the tip, which locks into a corresponding recess on another cap (“slide-joint” mechanism). This keeps pencils organized within a pen pouch, allowing them to be retrieved all at once. Made from translucent polypropylene, the “clear” version is particularly useful, as it allows the pencil tip to be seen—ideal for daily study or exam preparation.
Available in three color options: blue, purple and clear.
