Tombow Pencil Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Tokyo; President: Junichi Fukushima) will release three new “ABT 6-Color Sets”—each featuring a selection of six colors inspired by the themes of “Cherry Blossom”, “Japanese Iris” and “Camellia”—starting October 16, 2026. These sets, using colors from the “Dual Brush Pen ABT” water-based graphic marker lineup (108 colors in total), will be rolled out sequentially at stationery stores and stationery sections nationwide. This is a limited-quantity release. Each set is priced at 1,980 JPY (1,800 JPY excluding tax) and includes items such as a water brush and a coloring sheet.

The “ABT 6-Color Set: Cherry Blossom” features packaging with an original illustration by illustrator Maki Ashiya; it comes with the six markers used for the artwork and two line-art coloring sheets. The “Japanese Iris” set features an original illustration by illustrator Waki, while the “Camellia” set features one by illustrator Lemon Natsume.
You can access “making-of” videos—offering tips and techniques—at any time via the 2D code on the back of the package, allowing you to hone your skills by using the artists’ beautiful work as a guide. A blank sheet of the same paper quality as the coloring sheets is also included for testing colors, so you can see how the ink looks and spreads.

This set includes 6 ABT markers (330 JPY each x 6) for 1,980 JPY (tax included), 1 water brush for 550 JPY (tax included), 2 coloring sheets, and 1 blank sheet of paper for color testing. “ABT” is a twin pen equipped with two tips, a brush tip and a fine tip, released simultaneously in Japan, the United States and Europe in 1984. It is used by artists and graphic designers around the world. The brush tip is nylon fiber that does not easily lose shape, and can dynamically express rhythm and intonation like a brush. The fine tip is polyester that can stably draw ultra-fine 0.8 mm lines and is suitable for expressions and writing when you want to make use of highlights and edge feeling. Ink is water-based dye that develops vivid colors and allows an expanded range of expression by mixing or blurring colors.
