Tombow’s factory in Japan is located in the city of Shinshiro, Aichi Prefecture, in between Tokyo and Osaka, the economic centers of Japan.
Shinshiro Factory, as it is called, was first established in 1963, and now 180 people are working here, making pencils, color pencils, spare leads, ball point pens, mechanical pencils and glues.
In 1993, part of the facilities was converted into a logistic center. Today, equipped with its own LAN computer system, shipments are made from here to customers in most parts of Japan, with higher precision and shorter delivery time. |
