Tombow’s factory in Japan is located in the city of Shinshiro, Aichi Prefecture which is in between the two big cities, Tokyo and Osaka.
Shinshiro Factory, as it is called, was first established in 1963, and now 180 people are working here, making pencil, color pencil, spare lead, ballpoint pen, mechanical pencil and glue.
In 1993, part of the facilities was converted into a logistic center. Today, equipped with its own LAN computer system, shipments are made from here to customers in most parts of Japan, with higher precision and shorter delivery time. |
