　株式会社トンボ鉛筆（社長・小川晃弘）の100%出資米国法人American　Tombow Inc.(所在地・Suwanee, GA 30024,U.S.A.)のRobert　J. Laubscher(ロバート・ロブシャー)副社長は、BPCA（Business Products Credit Association／本部・英国マンチェスター／商工信用金庫）の「2005 CREDIT EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR賞（ことし功績のあった経営幹部表彰）」を受賞しました。

　BPCAは1875年に英国で設立された伝統ある信用金庫で、商工業者の円滑な取引と発展を長年にわたって支えています。BPCAは、年間表彰として「CREDIT EXECUTIVE AWARD」を設けており、これは会員メンバーに授けられる「最も高い名誉」とされています。選定の基準は、信用・支持・事業成果等で、本年はAmerican　Tombow Inc.のRobert　Laubscher副社長にこれが授与されました。
　 BPCAは表彰にあたってRobert　Laubscherの横顔を次のように紹介しています。「氏は、カリフォルニア州立大学を卒業。1989年、マネージャーとしてTombowに入社。 2004年、取締役副社長に就任。現在BPCAの役員を務める。家族は妻と3人の子供。敬虔なクリスチャンである。」
　 American　Tombow Inc.は、ゴードン社長が米国事務用品卸組合(略称OPWA)2005年最高賞を受賞、引き続き、ロバート副社長がBPCA表彰を受け、ダブル栄冠の年になりました。国際社会におけるグローバルブランド「TOMBOW」のエネルギッシュな活動が伝わります。

Robert J. Laubscher(写真下) 2005 Credit Executive of the Year
The Business Products Credit Association (BPCA) presented the 2005 Credit Executive of the Year award to Robert J. Laubscher, Executive VP/COO of Tombow at the BPCA’S 78th Annual Credit Conference in Tampa, Florida.
The Timothy J. Teal Memorial Credit Executive Award is the highest honor to be bestowed upon a member of the Business Products Credit Association, Inc. Selection of the recipient is based on their contribution to the credit profession and the association, their support of the services provided by BPCA, and their accomplishments within their own company.
Robert joined Tombow in 1989 as an Accounting Manager. Last year he was promoted to Executive Vice President/COO. He is currently a member of the BPCA Board of Directors.
Robert and his wife Deborah live in Duluth, Georgia with their three children. He is a member of Crossroads Community Church and and the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce. He graduated from California State University in Northridge, California.
